GenXtra is a Dutchess County NY cover band that performs rock and pop hits of the 80s, 90s and today. The GenXtra band strives on bringing a performance that gets audience members singing along and on the dance floor.

GenXtra formed in June of 2023 as a five piece band with original band members Frank, Pina and Frankie. After spending the summer months rehearsing, finding our sound, and performing private parties, a change in the line up brought guitarist Adam Barr and multi-instrumentalist Craig Hoek to the band.

Why the name?

The name GenXtra derives from Generation X, the demographic cohort of individuals born in the mid 60s to early 80s. These individuals are the MTV generation. The ones whose lives were shaped by watching music television and listening to rock hits of the 80s and 90s on the radio.

Why the Xtra?

We play music that crosses generations and that gets all of our audience members up and moving!
